How Do We Get Brown Eye

Brown Eye

At fertilization, the embryo receives genes from both parents. However, not all genes are equal and the ‘dominant’ genes override the characteristics carried by the rest, which are called recesive’/

The gene for brown eyes is always dominant, so if a child receives is always dominant, so if a child receives one gene for blue eyes and one of brown, form each parent, the child will always have brown eyes.

It is possible for two brown-eyed parents to have a child with blue eyes, if each carried the recessive blue-eyed gene form their parents.
